Whether you're new to church, have been a Christian for many years, or are looking for a new start, you're welcome here. Our hope is to give you a place where you experience a fresh, enjoyable connection to God and a community of people.
We keep our focus simple so we can have the biggest impact possible. Everything we do as a church is filtered through our focus on helping every person live the full (John 10:10) and rooted (Isaiah 61:3) LIFE for which God created all of us.
We believe Jesus still rescues people. We believe it is possible to be rooted in community. We believe your story matters, it's not over, and God can restore anything and anyone. And when you finally experience that, we will reflect God's love to the world around us as we remember what He has done, and we tell the story for generations to come.

Josh + Brooke Overton have a heart to see a church that lives out the kingdom of God in the greater Youngsville, NC area. They are committed to creating a church where Scripture is the foundation, everyone can encounter the presence of God, and men, women, and the next generation can grow deep roots in their relationship with God and with one another.They believe life is better when shared around a table, that people grow deeper when they have a place to be known, and that Jesus is still in the business of rescuing people, restoring hearts, and making all things new.
For the past 20 years, Josh has served the local church in a variety of roles—building teams, preaching and teaching regularly, planting churches, and serving on executive leadership teams. Along the way, God has also given him the opportunity to serve with Zoweh, where he has helped lead and encourage a national network of ministry and marketplace leaders who are passionate about seeing people experience the transforming love of Jesus and live from their identity as beloved sons and daughters.
Brooke has spent the last six years serving in elementary education, bringing the same heart for people, growth, and belonging into the classroom that she brings to ministry and family life. Together, Josh and Brooke have spent their marriage building ministries, churches, and tables—learning along the way that some of the most meaningful ministry happens in the ordinary places where people feel welcomed, known, and loved. That journey has shaped a simple mantra for their family and for Oak + Stone: An open door + a crowded table = a full heart.
The Overtons are North Carolina locals. They met after high school in Goldsboro, NC, married in 2010, and have been serving in ministry together ever since. Josh, Brooke, and their three kids, Lainey, Judah, and Benjamin, believe that something new is taking root in Youngsville through Oak + Stone Church.
They can’t wait to meet you, share a meal, hear your story, and see what God might do as we learn to follow Jesus together.
